A Home for a Movement

A Home for a Movement encompasses all of the Foundation’s programming, including fellowships, exhibits, educational partnerships, and innovative collaborations. Gloria’s Foundation will be one activist center of the feminist movement, strengthening long-standing affiliations Gloria already has, and establishing new endeavors and traditions to support all aspects necessary for social justice work.

Fellowships

Launched in June 2024, the Gloria’s Foundation Fellowship is an opportunity for changemakers and hope-a- holics, whose work centers around justice to deepen their work and contribute to present-day and future organizing. Beyond financial support, Fellows can use Gloria’s Foundation as a site of respite, inspiration, work— and organize their own Talking Circles to further their activism. The fellowship itself continues the legacy of Gloria’s home as a center for work that includes freedom, liberation, and feminism.

The application for the July-December 2025 Fellowship is now closed.

Residencies

The Gloria’s Foundation Residency Program offers a one-year residency to allies and partners who have already been instrumental in crafting and leading programming aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

Residents may be selected individually or in collaboration. While there is no formal requirement, participants are expected to undertake work that advances Gloria's Foundation’s role as a robust center for feminist programming. During their residency, they will have access to the Foundation’s resources both institutional and physical.

Building on the legacy of movements sparked in Gloria Steinem’s own living room, Gloria’s Foundation Residents will bring their unique expertise to both strengthen and draw strength from the Foundation’s ongoing work and vision for the next wave of action.

Our inaugural residents will focus on artificial intelligence, recognizing it as a critical frontier where women’s voices and perspectives are essential to ensuring this transformative technology serves all of humanity equitably.

Educational Partnerships

By partnering with schools in the United States and abroad, Gloria’s Foundation will offer archival materials to build into curricula for students of all ages. Gloria’s Foundation will support educators in integrating feminist archives as primary sources for courses, and providing learning opportunities for students that shed light on overlooked histories. The Foundation also facilitates classroom exchanges, providing a level of interactivity with feminist history that engages students.

Exhibits

Gloria’s Foundation is working closely with a number of cultural institutions, especially Google Arts & Culture, to fill out their existing work. The Foundation looks forward to bringing to fruition its own interactive experiences and engaging on social media to best showcase the important work–then and now—of those working for a feminist future.
